Meet the Artist

I'm Amanda, the artist behind Elevated Alien.

I've spent most of my life creating—whether that meant sketching characters in school notebooks, painting late into the night, designing apparel, or experimenting with new mediums. Today, Elevated Alien serves as a home for my artwork, apparel, prints, jewelry, podcast projects, and whatever creative idea decides to take root next.

My work is influenced by comics, animation, pop culture, color, and the belief that creativity should never be confined to a single box. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that art has a way of connecting people, telling stories, and helping us make sense of the world around us.

My Story

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember.

As a kid, I spent hours sketching characters from Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, and whatever else I was watching on Toonami at the time. My dad taught me the basics of drawing, shading, crosshatching, line work, and not being afraid of color, and I carried those lessons with me through school and beyond. By middle school, I was already selling drawings to classmates for lunch money.

Art has always been something I come back to. Through different stages of life, it remained a creative outlet and a way to work through whatever was going on around me. Even during periods when I wasn't selling artwork, I was still filling sketchbooks, experimenting with new ideas, and studying artists whose work inspired me.

In 2015, my best friend Abby encouraged me to start sharing and selling my work more seriously. She helped promote my artwork while I focused on creating, and together we started building what would eventually become Elevated Alien.

A couple years later, I decided I wanted to make things official. I wanted to participate in comic cons, art walks, and local events, so I needed a business name that actually felt like me. After a lot of brainstorming, Elevated Alien was born. I designed the original logo myself, launched my first website in January 2018, and started selling artwork under the brand for the first time.

That first year was a whirlwind. I printed my own art prints at home, packed orders from my living room, and prepared for my first convention, Bell County Comic Con. I took a chance on myself, and it paid off. Since then, I've participated in events across Texas, sold artwork to collectors in multiple states, and expanded into apparel, prints, jewelry, and other creative projects.

Today, Elevated Alien is still growing and changing, but the reason behind it hasn't changed much at all. I still enjoy creating the same way I did when I was a kid sitting in front of the TV trying to draw Sailor Moon.
