The Story Behind the Name Elevated Alien

I could have used my own name, but that never felt right. I wanted something that could stand on its own. Something I could put on a website, a tax permit, a convention application, or a shirt design without feeling like it was tied to just me.

For a few days, I bounced ideas around and wrote down anything that came to mind. Most of them were either forgettable, too generic, or felt forced.

On the last day of brainstorming, I was hanging out at my best friend Abby's house when the name finally clicked.

Elevated Alien.

The word "Elevated" came from the idea of growth and self-awareness. I've always been drawn to the idea of people rising above negativity, bad habits, difficult situations, and the things that hold them back. Not perfection, just growth.

The "Alien" part came from a couple of places. I've always loved science fiction, space, aliens, and the idea that there's something bigger out there than what we can see. But if I'm being honest, it also came from feeling a little out of place growing up. In a strange way, that feeling followed me into adulthood and eventually found its way into the name.

I remember saying it out loud and immediately asking Abby what she thought. The more we talked about it, the more it felt right.

Years later, I still like it for the same reason I liked it then. It's a reminder that it's okay to be different, keep growing, and create your own path instead of trying to fit into someone else's.
